Sourcing

Our high-quality durum wheat is specialist sourced from around the world. All of our wheat is tested for optimum quality to ensure we are able to deliver the best possible products.

Controlled

We have a total controlled process, from milling our durum wheat in our very own semolina mill, right through to manufacturing the finished products for our customers.

We’re incredibly proud that both our state-of-the-art Norwich site and our semolina mill have received grade AA BRC accreditations.

Compliancy

Declared as an egg-free site, all of our pasta is egg free as well as being halal and suitable for vegans. Kosher products are also available on certain lines.

Why use Durum Wheat for Pasta?

We use durum wheat as it is the only wheat that has all the necessary qualities required to make pasta.

Firstly, the wheat kernels are harder than other wheat, which when milled, creates granular semolina. Durum wheat is also the only wheat with yellow pigments distributed throughout the entire endosperm, rather than just the outer layers of the wheat kernel, which gives our pasta a rich, yellow colour.

In addition, due to durum wheat having a lower water absorption and higher protein content, our pasta holds its shape better and provides the perfect al dente texture once cooked. This allows our pasta to be egg-free reducing allergens in our customers’ factory and makes our pasta suitable for vegans.

With products to suit every category and manufacturing process, our state-of-the-art production facilities produce 100% high-quality durum wheat pasta with a minimum of 12% protein, giving us the highest product conformity.

Standard

With a wide range of shapes from fusilli to macaroni, this range is perfect for most manufacturing solutions such as ready meals or pasta salads.

Instant

Our innovative instant pasta only requires hot or boiling water to hydrate, whilst still providing you with a quality bite as you would expect from a classic pasta dish.

Quick Cook

This range is designed for quicker cook methods c. 5-8 mins. This range is also perfect for inclusion in dried sauce mixes or to simply reduce the cook time within your process.

Premium

As well as standard pasta, we also offer a range of premium, bronze-die extruded pasta. This type of pasta has more strength to withstand even the harshest of cooking processes.

Themed

We also supply a wide range of fun and novelty-themed pasta shapes including alphabets and numbers as well as animals, characters and other children’s favourites.
